There’s been a lot of drama about the launch of the Social Web Foundation. I was concerned, particularly when I saw Meta is involved. But then I saw that Evan Prodromou, founder of identi.ca StatusNet and pump.io, and creator of OStatus the and much of ActivityPub, is the Research Director. I also notice that a lot of the people who oppose the SWF have an agenda of fragmenting the fediverse across multiple incompatible protocols. For now, I support the SWF, and I suggest NZOSS making formal contact.
